Every ten years, Congressional Districts must be redrawn to reflect the results of the decennial census.
The Congressional map for the 2012 election has been signed into law. The borders of the Illinois Fifth District will change, but the character and diversity of its neighborhoods and cities will not.
From the shores of Lake Michigan to the beautiful suburban communities of DuPage and Cook Counties, the Fifth District encompasses tightly-knit communities of every nationality and background, with some of the finest schools, green spaces, and attractions in the midwest.
